Yam porridge, which is also known as yam pottage or pottage yam is a popular yam delicacy distinguished by its juicy thickened porridge. Fresh yam pieces in a thick aromatic porridge sauce and finished off with some fresh green spring onions is what this recipe stands for.

Steps to make Yam pottage:
- Peeled yam plus riped plantain on fire boiling
- Oil added plus a little left over stew,cooked for a while before adding veggies (scent leaf)
- I used smoked goat meat and intestines from the stew.
- Boil yam and plantain together,add oil salt when yam boils for 5mins. When yam is half way cook add smoked meat if though and oil after 10 min add left over stew, when yam is cooked through add crayfish cook for 10 min then add scent leaf allow for a minute,stire.food is ready
