Matoke (or Matooke) refer to the plantain or plantain banana in Uganda, where plantains are a staple crop. In Uganda, plantain bananas are often wrapped in plantain leaves and steamed until tender. This dish can be made with or without the meat. Matoke is a variety of banana indigenous to southwest Uganda.

- Make ready Beef
- Prepare Kiganda bananas
- Make ready Potato 🥔 s
- Make ready Water,salt,b.peper,oil,(peanut butter optional)

Instructions to make Matoke😋:
- Use cooking oil when peeling 🍌 to avoid the sticky glue.apply it on your hands.add salt to the water u put the matoke
- In a cooking pan,add in your oil,when hot add in your beef nd stir.cover it and cook for 5mints,add in your onions,b.peper (any spice Yu wish)nd stir,cover the lid and wait for it to simmer abit,
- When onions cook,chek if yur meat is ready nd add in your tomato 🍅 s,stir nicely nd cover to simmer,when tomatos become tender add in your hoho,salt to taste,matoke nd mix thoroughly
- Cover the lid.
- Cook for 4 mints without adding water then,add in the beef stock nd cook for 6 to8 mins.
- Garnish with dhania and serve hot.
