- Take Yam
- Prepare Palm oil
- Take Red bell pepper
- Prepare Scotch bonnet

As the name suggests, it is made with white yam. Essentially, white yam (aka punya yam) is boiled with blended pepper, tomato and onion together with vegetable or palm oil. - Blend the scotch bonnet with red bell pepper after washing and set aside
- Cut the vegies and set aside peel the yam and cut them into medium sized chunks and set aside
- Heat the onions with palm oil for two minutes and add our blended peppers and fry for 8-10 minutes
- Add some water and allow to boil then add up the spices,smoked fish afterward add the yam and allow to cook
- Add the spinach and allow to shimmer for two minutes and serve
