- Prepare 2 kg irish potatoes
- Get 3 bunches pumkin leaves

Steps to make Mokimo:
- Peel, wash and boil the potatoes
- Boil the pumkin leaves then blend
- Boil the maize too
- Mix the maize and potatoes
- In a pan, fry the onions add in salt and butter. Stir and add in the maize/potato mixture
- Stir to mix well. Then add in the blended pumkin leaves little by little as you stir
- Mash into a fine consistency
- Serve and enjoy with some beef stew
