The ingredients needed to make Sprouted Magh ni kadhi:
  1. Get 3/4 cup sprouted beans
  2. Prepare 1-1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  3. Prepare 2 slit green chillies
  4. Make ready 3-4 curry leaves(kadhi patta)
  5. Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
  6. Prepare 1 bay leaf
  7. Prepare 3 cloves (lawang)
  8. Get to taste Salt
  9. Prepare 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  11. Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Prepare 2 tsp coriander powder
  13. Take 3 tsp oil
  14. Take As required Water
  15. Take 1/2 cup curd
  16. Prepare 3-4 tsp gram-flour(besan)

Usually with aam ras there's always kadhi and to go with the rice and kadhi some sprouted mag (moong) or moth (the yellow ones). When I saw the moong, I vaguely remembered that there was another Gujarati word for sprouted besides 'oogadela'. Asked my kaki and she told be fungawela. So that's how my flatbread for F came into being.

Steps to make Sprouted Magh ni kadhi:
  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil and add jeera, cloves,bay leaf, ginger garlic paste and saute a little.Add Sprouted beans, coriander powder, turmeric,salt, chilli powder,curry leaves,1/2 cup of water,mix and close the pressure till one whistle and off the gas.Remove pressure from cooker.
  2. Take curd,gram flour in a bowl and whisk it smooth by adding 1/4 cup of water. Add this mix to the sprouted beans in the cooker put on high flame.After one boil add sugar, let it cook on slow flame for 10 minutes. It will start to thicken. If needed add little more water till the desired consistency of the kadhi.(Sprouted kadhi should not be too thick or thin).
  3. Kadhi done and ready to serve.Garnish it with coriander leaves.
