Steps to make Nippattu:
  1. Dry roast peanuts, red chilli. Coarse grind red chilli, peanuts, cumin
  2. In a mixing bowl take rice flour, ground mixture, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, chopped curry leaves, soak chana dal, peanuts and add 1 tbsp hot oil. Knead a soft dough.
  3. Take out small portions and on plastic or non-stick surface and pat with hand and make a small puri. Not too thick.
  4. Heat oil and deep fry till golden brown.
  5. Ready to munch with tea.

There are many variations of Nippatu recipes from family to family.
