- Prepare 1 kg Bong meat –
- Get 1 Beef bone –
- Make ready 1 cup Ghee or oil –

- Prepare 1 1/2 Red chilli powder –
- Make ready tbsp Nihari masala – 4 tbsp

- Make ready 2 tbsp Fresh corinader –
- Take 2 tbsp Ginger flakes –
- Prepare Green chilli – 4 chopped
- Take Lemon slices - 4
- Make ready nihari masala homemade
- Make ready 3 tbsp Fennel seeds –
- Prepare Cinnamon sticks – 2 to 3
- Take 2 Big cardamoms –
- Make ready 6 Green cardamoms –
- Get Black pepper – 12 tp 15
- Take Dry ginger – 1″ piec
- Prepare 6 pieces Mace –
- Prepare Nutmeg – 1/2 ” piece
- Prepare 1 tbsp Coriander powder –
- Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder –
- Make ready Add all above ingredients in grinder
- Prepare Nihari masala is ready
Add meat and fry it a little. Add salt, chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder and ginger paste. Nihari is a South Asian spicy stew with wonderful flavors and aromas of different spices, which give much needed warmth in the cold season. Although this recipe is simple to put together, traditionally this beef stew is cooked slowly over night and eaten as breakfast.
Instructions to make Nihari:
- Take a pan, add ghee or oil and fry onion until light golden brown.
- Then add ginger garlic paste, beef, bones, salt, red chilli powder and nihari masala, mix and fry well.
- Then add yoghurt and fry. - Now add 10 cups of water, cover and cook for 1 hour on low heat.
- Then mix chapatie flour in 1/2 cup of water and make thin paste. - After 1 hour add this flour mixture in nihari and stir continuously until all flour mixture is mixed well.
- Now cook another 15 minutes. Check consistency you need.
- When nihari is done, garnish with fresh coriander, ginger flakes and green chilies. - Serve with ginger flakes, lemon slices and naan.
