Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet, fry tofu strips until golden brown on both sides. Add onion and cook for a few minutes, until onion is at your desired consistency. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu slabs (depending on the size of your pan, the tofu may slope up the sides a little).

- Get 1 packages 12oz extra firm tofu
- Make ready 1 onion thinly sliced
- Prepare 1 1/2 cup bbq sauce give or take to your preference
- Take 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil or any oil of your choice
- Prepare 1 Bread or buns. Any toppings you want like cheese, pickles, etc.

Steps to make BBQ Tofu Sandwhiches:
- Drain tofu between paper towels trying to get most of the water out.
- Cut tofu into 1/4 inch slices. I usually get 4 good slices and one slice that's a little thinner.
- In a large skillet heat some of the oil. Fry tofu until golden brown on both sides. (see pic)
- In a seperate small skillet add oil. Fry onions to desired consistency.
- When tofu is done drain extra fluid from skillet.
- Add onions and bbq sauce. Let it simmer on low to just above low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve on bread or buns with any toppings you prefer.
