  1. Peel, wash and cut your yam into small cubes. - Wash your fish with hot water and salt. - Blend your chillies and crayfish. - Chop your onion.
  2. Put your yam in a pot. Add salt, Seasoning cubes, chilli and crayfish mix; add enough water to cover the yam. Cover the pot and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 mins, the yam should be boiling. Add your fish and palm oil. Cover and cook till the yam is soft (about 25mins).
  4. When your yam is soft, tear your scent leaves and add to the pot. Turn off the heat immediately; cover the pot and leave for 2-3mins (the residual heat will cook the scent leaves).
  5. After about 2 minutes, open the pot and mix everything together. - Your yam pottage is ready!!!
