Bumbu Bali, also known as Base Gede or Base Genep, is a classic Indonesian spice paste. - Rub fish with lime juice and salt, and let it stand about 15 minutes. Wash and drain.
- Heat oil and deep fry fish until golden brown. Drain and set aside.
- Heat 5 tablespoon oil saute ground spices until fragrant, then add lemon grass, tamarin (lime juice) and sweet soy sauce.
- When the sauce has thickened, spread it over to the deep fried fish. Serve with Yellow rice/ white rice / coconut rice or with any dish you like.
